presents : presents is where you'll find the longer, more serious pieces. "Serious" is open for interpretation. Presents ≠ gifts. Presents : Now :: Pasts : Then.
inanity : the latest inanity is where the shorter bits, the more ridiculous bits, the links-to-the-outside-web bits, the quippy bits, and the notes-to-self bits go. They are not texts, they do not stand out individually as works of literature. Collectively, they are more of a mental map. Arguably, the latest inanity is more of a traditional weblog, and certainly moreso than anything else on this site.
archives : The old entries are listed in the archives. Some things are easy.
features : features houses anything that didn't fit anywhere else, or those things whose presentation required special attention. And some of them are spurious bunk, don't say you weren't warned.
about : about is where you are. It's about Somnolent.org. That's two easy things.
maillist : If you want additional info about this site mailed to you, or wish to receive additional missives that won't get published here, you can sign up with the somnambulism mailing list and receive periodic emails.
effigy : effigy is the photo album. An effigy is a likeness or representation of something else.
ogle : ogle is the webcam. Watch me sit there.
